Our semi-detached bed & breakfast is situated along the designated coastal route for walkers and cyclists. From Chestnut Tree House you can walk or drive down to the local ‘Sugar Sands’ beach and park your car on the headland (approximately 1 mile from the house). There are wonderful walks all along the coast following coastal tracks with excellent scenery. We can also provide free loan of a barbecue, wind-break and deck chairs for the beach.
We specialise in home cooking and local produce and offer an extensive breakfast menu. We have a double room en-suite, a twin room en-suite and a single room with private bathroom. All rooms decorated and furnished to a very high standard with good quality linens and towels. Off Street parking available.
Should you wish to take a long walk along the coast we can arrange to collect you or drop you off for you to walk back. We also offer a pick up and drop off service to and from the local railway station at Alnmouth (3 miles from Longhoughton) which is on the main east coast railway line London to Edinburgh. The county town of Alnwick is 4 miles west inland.

We have an extensive range of maps for loan and lots of local knowledge and experience.
